Move-on and Aftercare

Move-on Group

All individuals are provided with support in preparing for independent living and finding safe and suitable accommodation.

Residential service-users attend the Move-on Group whilst living at Pele Tower.  Service-users who have completed residential placements also attend this group as part of the aftercare support provided. This group considers all the physical, practical and psychological aspects of living independently.

A move-on worker is allocated to each residential service-user four to six months before the two-year placement ends to assist with finding suitable housing, appropriate benefits and grants.

Aftercare programme

The Aftercare Programme, which offers group and one-to-one support is tailor-made to fit the individual’s needs.

An Aftercare package is available to all residential service-users who have completed the programme. This usually involves coming to Pele Tower twice weekly as a day service-user, attending specific therapeutic groups and individual sessions.

The length of Aftercare support provided is subject to funding. Information about Aftercare service fees can be obtained by contacting Amanda Farley, Acting Service Manager.
